According to law: LHC orders action against PM’s relative
Latif said a session’s court had ordered the police to register a case against Aziz
LAHORE:
Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday ordered the police to take action against Yousaf Aziz, a close relative of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, in accordance with the law on a petition seeking the registration of a case against Aziz. Shahnaz Latif, the petitioner, told the court that Aziz, her brother, had submitted a false affidavit on her behalf in a case regarding the distribution of Ittefaq Group’s assets. She said he had deliberately misled the court by forging her signature on the document. Latif said a session’s court had ordered the police to register a case against Aziz to no avail as the force had failed to comply with the direction. She asked the court to direct CCPO Amin Wains to register a case against Aziz.
