The iconic Hudson River was transformed into the world’s newest catwalk yesterday.  Jessica Minh Anh, the model and entrepreneur marked her ninth fashion show staged at a unique location. The J Spring Fashion Show 2015 presented New York in a new light.

Anh’s series of history-making catwalks also showcased the new collection of Pakistani designer Syeda Amera, said a press release. The ultra-feminine collection was based on fabrics including; premium quality net, silk and jersey. All these looks were spiced up in ultra-sassy aqua and blue shades. It not only accentuated a woman’s body but also gave her a modern edge with dynamic patterns and transparency. The designs were weaved to cater to an international market.

Speaking earlier about Amera’s collection, the model said, “Syeda’s outfits truly embody the elegance of a woman while giving her that bold edge. This is solely why I decided to showcase her collection. I like the glittery beads, sequined texture, and transparency in her designs.”

With New York’s famous skyline and its architectural masterpieces being the natural backdrop, the guests were seated facing the multi-faceted glass windows of Bateaux New York as they watched models create an illusion of walking on water while the boat was cruising.

The participating designer showcased a combination of haute couture, ready-to-wear, luxury jewellery, and leather bag collections from four continents.

One of the reasons that make Anh’s catwalks unique, according to ABC7, is that “Jessica combines art, architecture, culture, and fashion.” She has previously transformed iconic venues in the world, such as Eiffel Tower, One World Trade Center, and the Grand Canyon Skywalk, into historic catwalks.

“Jessica Minh Anh’s innovative catwalk concept took my breath away. It was truly magnificent. I cannot think of a better way to present fashion and New York. She has definitely brought something very special to the fashion world,” said Jana Leblanc, Cosmopolitan CZ.
