Muhammad Ibrahim Joyo is the voice of a century and the echo of his struggle can be heard from far away, said MPA Mehtab Rashidi at an event celebrating the 100th year since the birth of the scholar, writer and historian, held at the Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Auditorium, Chandka Medical College Hospital, on Sunday.

“Joyo is the champion of the secular movement in Sindh and he has always striven to make it a peaceful province,” said writer Mazhar Jamil, who presided over the event. “The life of this legendary writer is multipurpose, with every angle of it being laudable.” According to Mushtaque Phull of the Sindhi Adabi Sangat, Joyo, a living legend, was a nationalist scholar who had spent his entire life working towards the development of the province.
