Unverifiable Signatures: Speaker rejects MQM requisition

The parliamentary leader of the party, Syed Sardar Ahmed, had submitted the application on March 10

KARACHI:
Sindh Assembly speaker Agha Siraj Durrani rejected the requisition submitted by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, calling for a Sindh Assembly session. The parliamentary leader of the party, Syed Sardar Ahmed, had submitted the application on March 10 with the signatures of 43 MPAs of his party requesting the speaker to call the session and discuss the law and order situation in the context of the raid conducted by the Rangers at Nine Zero. "I have verified the signatures of the MPAs but some of them don't match our records, which is why the session cannot be summoned," said Durrani.
