Road accident: Eight of a family killed in Balakot
The vehicle plunged into a ravine, killing eight of those on-board on the spot.

At least eight of a family, including two minor girls, were killed and three others injured when a jeep plunged into a roadside gorge near Sangjora, some 14 kilometres from Balakot on Friday. However, locals said two more had also died in the accident.

According to the police, Sajjad of Bajmohri village had come from Saudi Arabia on Thursday to meet his family. The family was returning to Bajmohri after receiving Sajjad at Shaheed Benazair Bhutto Airport around 3am on Friday when Sajjad’s brother Shehzad lost control of the steering. The vehicle plunged into a ravine, killing eight of those on-board on the spot.
