The chief minister also gave Rs 500,000 in cash to the girl’s father and assured her parents that they would be provided justice.
During a visit to the district, Shahbaz Sharif ordered that the girl’s brothers be admitted to the Danish School in Chishtian. The CM ordered the Bahawalpur DCO, Amir Jan, to immediately repair the girl’s house. He also announced that electricity would be provided to the Faqiranwali area as soon as possible.
The chief minister spoke to the girl’s family after inquiring after the nine-year-old girl in the Bahawalnagar DHQ hospital. Sharif assured the family that the case will be heard in an anti-terrorism court and ordered the police to immediately present the challan in court.
Punjab IG, Tariq Salim Dogar, Commissioner Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed and resident police officer (RPO), Abid Qadri, were also present on the occasion.
While the chief minister was visiting the DHQ hospital, a six-year-old boy named Faizan requested that the chief minister help him get an admission to a Danish School.
Sharif ordered the DCO to admit the boy as soon as possible.
The chief minister also visited the under construction Danish school in Chishtian and directed the DCO to mark land in Bahawalnagar for a journalists colony.
