Khatri drops to ninth in Malaysia

Pakistan loses three spots on third day of scrabble event.

KARACHI:
Pakistan top scrabble player Waseem Khatri finished the third day on ninth position in the Masters category of the Causeway Challenge Scrabble tournament in Malaysia.

He won five out of 11 matches yesterday, with an aggregate of 15 wins out of 25 matches in the three days.


Participants for the World Youth Scrabble Championship will depart today for Manila where the event will consist of 120 players from 50 countries taking part. Pakistan’s contingent comprises Shahzeb Khatri, Minhajuddin Ahmed, Shahroz Ansari and Yousuf Baqir along with Javeria Mirza, Jahanzaib Shakeel and Umair Khalidi.
