Peace Initiative: Elders hand over arms to security forces
Officials present on the occasion said it was a positive move
JAMRUD:
Elders of different tribes of Jamrud, Khyber Agency handed over a large cache of arms to the security forces and political administration at a ceremony in the tehsil on Tuesday. Officials present on the occasion said it was a positive move from the tribal community as such steps would help rid the area of enemies and the state of unrest. The cache included more than 100 Russian-made mortar shells. The elders said they took the initiative to bring peace in their native land.
