Mercy denied: Convict to be hanged today

They said Asghar Ali had killed his nephew on April 16, 2000, over a domestic dispute.

A man convicted of murder will be hanged in Layyah on Tuesday (today). Police said the convict had met his family on Monday. They said Asghar Ali had killed his nephew on April 16, 2000, over a domestic dispute. A distinct and sessions judge had sentenced him to death. Subsequent appeals to the Supreme Court and the president were rejected.
