PESHAWAR:
Law-enforcement agencies recovered explosives from a house and arrested an active member of an outlawed militant group in separate raids on Sunday. Police raided an abandoned house in Shamshato Refugee Camp in the jurisdiction of Urmar police station on the outskirts of the city. A police official told The Express Tribune a magnet bomb, a remote control and a prima card were recovered from the house. “The raid was conducted under the directives of SSP operations and the explosives were handed over to officials at the local police station,” he said, adding the derelict building was being used by militants for storing explosives. Meanwhile, intelligence agencies arrested Ibrahim, a resident of Sipah, Khyber Agency, from Charsadda Road. Ibrahim is said to be an active member of the banned Lashkar-e-Islam.
