A pharmacist was gunned down in Charsadda district while a minor died of electrocution in Karak district on Saturday.
An official of Sardheri police said Farooq, a medicine trader in Charsadda, was tortured by unidentified men and later shot dead. An FIR of the case was not registered till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, two students, Muhammad Atif and Noman, were en route to a private school when they accidentally stepped on an exposed transmission line near Namak Mandi in Karak. Atif died on the spot while Noman was rushed to the Women and Children Hospital in critical condition.
Locals said despite multiple complaints over the past week, Water and Power Development Authority officials had failed to repair the transmission line. They also protested and blocked Karak Road for several hours.
