LAHORE:

Commissioner Abdullah Khan Sumbal said on Saturday that lack of timely progress on development projects with the exception of legal obstacles would not be tolerated.

He was chairing a meeting on revenue targets, the computerisation of land records and annual development programme schemes. He said action would be taken against those found guilty of unnecessarily delaying projects. Sumbal said no-objection certificates regarding purchase of land for degree colleges in Mandi Faizabad and Bucheki had been issued. He said this made it imperative for maximum work be done in the current fiscal year. He said the government had been striving for the timely completion of development projects.
