Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif used his clout to stop the Balochistan government from sacking one of his cabinet ministers, highly credible sources confirmed.
There was confirmation that a summary was moved to the chief minister recommending the removal of Majid Abro from his present position with the intention to punish him, withdrawing all his official powers, perks and privileges.

There was a litany of complaints against Majid Abro the provincial adviser holding the post of provincial minister, regarding his alleged dubious role in the recent Senate election. It is alleged that he defied the party leadership and cast his ballot in favour of his own choosing, causing serious embarrassment to the ruling party.
The PML Parliamentary Party is very strong in the Balochistan government and after being deeply offended over the electoral developments in Balochistan, there was a serious move to sack Abro from the cabinet instantly.
