Pakistan, China ink two MoUs for cooperation in water, power sectors

Both countries will also enhance cooperation in education and training

Pakistan and China on Wednesday signed two memorandums of understanding for the promotion of cooperation in the water and power sector, Radio Pakistan reported.

The documents were signed by WAPDA Chairman Zafar Mehmoud and Chairman of Chinese Three Gorges Corporation Chun Lu in Islamabad.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and other federal ministers were also present at the occasion.

The first MoU relates to cooperation in the construction of water reservoirs and hydel generation, whereas the second MoU is related to both countries enhancing cooperation in education and training in the respective field.
