An anti-terrorism court (ATC) sent on Tuesday eight suspected militants to police custody on physical remand.
The ATC-II judge approved the plea and remanded the suspects to police custody for 14 days. He also asked the IO to submit a progress report on the next hearing on March 24.

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) sent on Tuesday eight suspected militants to police custody on physical remand.
Javed, Atiq Ahmed, Laiq Shah, Jahangir alias Ibrahim, Ali Rehman, Ayanullah, Umair Gul and Shafiq Ahmed were arrested by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of the police in Ittehad Town on Monday. Police officials claimed that they had also seized 25 kilogrammes of explosive material and 10 hand grenades from the suspects' possession.
The investigation officer (IO) of the case sought custody of the suspects, who are allegedly members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, submitting that they needed to be questioned for their involvement in acts of terrorism.
