An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Factory Area SHO on Tuesday on a petition filed by a man seeking the registration of a case against his former wife, accusing her of abducting his daughter and misleading the court. Petitioner Muhammad Ijaz said that he had married Farwa Bibi in 2009 and that they had had a daughter. He said that he had divorced Farwa Bibi in 2010. On December 29, 2014, he said that a man, Mubashir, had kidnapped the child on Farwa Bibi’s direction. He said that the Factory Area police had registered an FIR against Mubashir on his complaint. Ijaz said that Farwa Bibi had then filed a petition in a sessions court saying that the child was daughter of another man, namely Muhammad Rasheed Awan. He requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against Farwa Bibi and Mubashir for abducing his daughter and misleading the court.
