Balochistan assembly: Opposition chides govt over security
.
QUETTA:
Opposition parties in Balochistan Assembly strongly criticised the provincial government for its failure to maintain law and order situation. JUI-F opposition leader Maulana Wasay said the law and order situation had gone from bad to worse in major parts of Balochistan during the last two years. Wasay said the government could not stop the spillover of militants from Waziristan to Balochistan, which is why the once peaceful northern districts of the province are facing a security threat. BNP chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal said no one was willing to take stand against the perpetrators of violence. “At least eight Levies officials were killed in my hometown in Wadh but the FIR mentions unidentified persons despite the fact that everyone knows who was responsible for the killings,” he said. Even after five military operations there is no peace in any area, he said.
