Honoured: ITP remembers fallen comrades

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) and Pakistan Baitul Mal gave Rs50,000 each on Monday to the families of its officials who lost their lives in the line of duty over the years. Families of the officials — Abdul Waheed, Abdul Majeed, Gohar Rehman, Muhammad Irshad, Muhammad Sadiq and Muhammad Saeed — were invited at a ceremony to pay them tribute at the ITP head office. SSP Traffic Malik Matloob said the purpose of the ceremony was to remember the officials who had lost their lives and to express solidarity with their families. Baitul Mal Managing Director Abid Waheed Sheikh also announced to provide medical facilities and assistance to the family members of the deceased.
