Police encounter: Bandits busted in Hayatabad
The alleged robbers have been identified as Saleem, Alamgir and Ezaz

Police claim to have busted a gang of three robbers after an encounter in Hayatabad Phase-II on Monday.
Addressing a press conference, SSP Operations Dr Mian Saeed Ahmad said police received information about robbers present near a nullah in Hayatabad Phase-II, following which a police contingent was dispatched to the area.
“They (the robbers) resisted and fired at the police party but were finally arrested after an exchange of fire,” said Saeed, adding three TT pistols and three mobile phones were also recovered from their possession.
The alleged robbers have been identified as Saleem, Alamgir and Ezaz, residents of Kakshal area. “During interrogation, they admitted to 33 robberies in the past few months. Rs130,000 looted cash was also recovered from them,” said Saeed, adding police was after the group for the past few months.
