Crackdown: 79 arrested in Charsadda
Seven Kalashnikovs, five rifles, two pistols and over seven kilogrammes of hashish were seized from the detainees.

At least 79 suspects, including 18 proclaimed offenders, were arrested during a search operation in Charsadda Friday morning. According to DSP Zain Khan Jadoon, the crackdown was carried out in Shabqadar circle and it lasted until 10am. SHOs and police officials from four police stations participated in the operation, he said. Seven Kalashnikovs, five rifles, two pistols and over seven kilogrammes of hashish were seized from the detainees. Jadoon said law-enforcement agencies are closely monitoring the area adjacent to Mohmand Agency and search operations are being conducted regularly.
