LAHORE:

Luxury furniture retailer, Marina Home Interiors has expanded its reach to Lahore. A welcomed addition to the city’s ever changing landscape. The flagship store of Dubai-based premium brand was launched in Gulberg by the Master brand on March 4.

The display included some fascinating cross cultural fusions of the modern classics and chic contemporary designs. A coffee table with a steel propeller for a base, ropes hanging from the ceiling with lights attached to their ends and an offbeat circus theme printed chest of drawer, were some of the items that stood out. It is classy, design led with captivating nooks and crannies.

Grayscale photographs of polo players and ponies gave a regal feel to the décor. An atlas and globe theme also ran throughout the three story showroom. In addition to that, the store contains something for everyone. From ethnic settees, vintage bedroom sets to chairs with iconic fashion images, each piece was detailed and unique.

Talking to The Express Tribune, the director of the store, Shahzad Malik said, “We strongly believe that Pakistan holds great potential for premium furniture, accessories and interiors, where design blends seamlessly with functionality, and in this spirit we introduced Marina Home Interiors: “He added that he fell in love with the brand in Dubai not only because of its furniture but its uniqueness as compared to the competitors. The brand is present at some of the most prestigious locations in the Middle East & North Africa markets and the Indian subcontinent.

While women picked out their favourites, many admired the variety. “The way the furniture has been laid out in the showroom makes it easy to imagine it at home,” said one of the female attendees and a furniture enthusiast. Conceptualised in 1997, the brand showcases a wide range of furnishings. It also stocks decoration items as a complete home store.

The products are crafted by the heirs of a highly-skilled team from across the twenty countries of four continents. Each piece is considered a labour of love and truly a unique work of art. The event was well attended by Lahore’s media, fashionistas and socialites. Jimmy Khan and Zoe Viccaji pulled in a decent crowd to watch their live performance.
