ISLAMABAD:
A high-level German delegation will visit Pakistan for exploring investment opportunities in different sectors of the country, Radio Pakistan reported on Friday.

The German Ambassador to Islamabad Dr. Cyrill Nunn met Chairman Board of Investment Dr. Miftah Ismail in Islamabad and made an announcement about his visit.

Nunn said German investors are interested to invest in all sectors of economy and intend to establish automobile units preferably in Karachi.

The Chairman said the board of investment welcomes German businessmen and entrepreneurs.

He also assured to provide them all facilities that are possible.


Earlier on March 3, Indian Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar had also visited Pakistan and met his counterpart Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry to discuss issues related to the South Asia Association for Regional Cooperation.

Jaishankar said ensuring peace and tranquility along the Line of Control and Working Boundary is vital.

“This visit is part of the SAARC yatra to improve relations among SAARC countries as part of the initiative taken by the Indian PM,” he also said while addressing the media.

“This visit also provided an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations,” the Indian foreign secretary added.

He said the two countries have agreed to narrow down their differences on various issues.
