Better status: As many as 49 cops promoted
Five sub-inspectors have been promoted to the rank of inspector in grade 16.
ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad Police promoted 49 police personnel including five sub-inspectors, seven assistant sub-inspectors and 37 head constables. The departmental committee, which approved the promotions, was headed by DIG (HQs) Muhammad Khalid Khattak and comprised AIG (establishment) Ashraf Zubair Siddiqui, SP (headquarters) Rana Tahirur Rehman, DSP (legal) Azhar Hussain Shah and Office Superintendent Central Police Office Muhammad Ashraf. Five sub-inspectors have been promoted to the rank of inspector in grade 16. Likewise, seven assistant sub-inspectors have been promoted to grade 14. Moreover, 37 head constables have been elevated to the rank of assistant-sub inspector in grade nine.
