Housing: 1,278 applicants get plot allotments after 11 years
An LDA statement said the plot holders could apply for possession.
LAHORE:
As many as 1,278 of the 2,894 people whose plots in the Lahore Development Authority Avenue-1 Housing Society had been under litigation for over 11 years were given alternative plot allotments through a draw on Wednesday.
An LDA statement said the plot holders could apply for possession which would be handed over in no more than a working day. Of the 2,894 disputed plots, 1,007 measured a kanal and 1,887 10 marlas. On January 24, the LDA had allotted alternative plots to 321 applicants whose original allotments got deleted from the scheme’s plan after its re-mapping.
