Terror at large: DPO critically injured in Loralai ambush
Two police constables were killed, another was wounded

A police convoy came under attack on Tuesday by some unidentified gunmen in Loralai district of Balochistan, leaving two policemen dead and two others wounded, including the District Police Officer (DPO) who is in a critical condition after sustaining three bullet injuries.
According to a Balochistan Levies official in Loralai, the convoy of DPO Sherani was coming to Loralai from Zhob when a group of armed men opened fire at his vehicle near Tang Chowki, about 35km from Loralai. As a result of the firing, two personal police guards were killed on the spot while DPO Sherani sustained three bullet wounds.

“The District Police Officer Sherani, Shakir Kakar, received three bullets when his convoy was attacked,” Home Secretary Akbar Hussain Durrani told The Express Tribune. Two police constables were killed, another was wounded, he confirmed, adding that the DPO would be airlifted to Quetta for further treatment after doctors in Loralai gave permission.
