LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday sought comments from the Nishtar Colony SHO on a petition filed by a man seeking registration of a case against three people for warning him against pursuing a blasphemy case against them. Qari Iftikhar Ahmed had filed a petition through Advocate Ghulam Mustafa Chaudhry saying that he was the complainant in an FIR registered against Salma Tanveer who had declared herself a prophet.

Ahmed said he had received life threats over phone and in SMS messages for pursuing the case. He accused Salma, her husband Tanveer Ahmed and their son Mohsin Tanveer of posing him life threats. He said he had requested the SHO to take action against them but he did not. He requested the court to direct the police officer to register a case against them.
