Reckless driving: 25 injured as coach overturns

All the injured were shifted to Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences

SUKKUR: At least 25 people, including women and children, were injured when a passenger coach overturned on the National Highway near Gambat district, Khairpur, on Saturday night. The passenger coach was travelling to Multan from Karachi. As it reached near Gambat, the driver lost control over the vehicle as he tried to overtake a motorcycle. The driver failed to manoeuver the vehicle and as a result, the speeding coach overturned. All the injured were shifted to Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences, where those with minor injuries were sent home after being given first aid, while the remaining are still being treated. The coach driver managed to flee from the scene. The coach has been impounded by the police.
