LAHORE:

An anti-terrorism court sentenced a man to sixty years in prison on Friday for being involved in the killing of Arif Ameer alias Tipu Truckanwala.

The court announced the verdict following the conclusion of arguments. Ameer’s prosecution had earlier said Ahsan had taken part in planning the  killing and provided Khurram Ejaz, the chief accused, with arms and conveyance.  Ahsan’s counsel said Ejaz had already been sentenced. He said his client was being framed in a case without any evidence. The counsel asked the court to acquit him.

Truckanwala was gunned down in the parking area of Allama Iqbal International Airport in 2010. A case was initially registered against Ejaz who was caught red-handed by security forces-.
