Imran, who climbed to the top of the rankings after winning the tournament in October, began the match with confidence and won the first four frames 61-33, 68-30, 56-47 and 80-0 with a break of 70, but lost focus as the play continued.
Agha hit back with 97-12, 80-36, 62-7, and 64-39 to level the match 4-4, before Imran took the ninth frame 63-0. But Agha sealed the victory in the last two frames 47-42, 99-0 to win the title.
The tournament comprised the top 16 cueists of the country with Imran, Sohail Shahzad and Mohammad Sajjad participating as part of their preparation for the World Amateur Championship that will begin from December 4 in Syria.
“The final was exciting but it showed me that I need to concentrate,” Imran told The Express Tribune. “I can’t afford to lose like this in the World Championship. Although my performance was not impressive, it certainly is a wake-up call for me, Sohail and Sajjad.”
Earlier, second-ranked Sohail and Sajjad bowed out of the tournament unexpectedly after losing their quarter-finals.
