Senate election : Lone PML-N candidate withdraws
Only two out of 28 candidates have withdrawn their nominations forms today.

The lone candidate of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PNL-N) for Senate election in Sindh, Zafar Ali Shah, withdrew his nomination forms in support of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) nominee Imamuddin Shaukeen. According to the provincial election commission, Mohammad Bux Khaskheli of PML-F, the covering candidate for Shaukeen, has also withdrawn his form. “Only two out of 28 candidates have withdrawn their nominations forms today. This process will continue till Saturday,” the provincial election commissioner SM Tariq Qadri said. Talking to the media, Zafar Ali Shah said he surrendered his candidature in support of PML-F candidate. “PML-N and PML-F are joint opposition in Sindh Assembly, therefore they want to contest the senate election jointly against PPP,” he said.
