Enforced disappearances: FIRs lodged in 13 cases of missing persons
Reports lodged on the directives of CIED.

The city police have lodged 13 FIRs in missing persons’ cases on the directives of the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances (CIED).
Mattani police registered an FIR on the complaint of Kamil Khan. According to a copy of the FIR available with The Express Tribune, security forces and police raided Kamil’s house on March 19, 2013 and picked up four of his relatives. They have been identified as Pervez Khan, Bacha, Abdullah Jan and Zahid Khan. Although Bacha, Jan and Zahid were released soon after they were taken into custody, Pervez has been missing for two years.
Two more reports were filed at the same police station over the disappearance of Abdul Hameed, who was picked from Sherakera, and Amal Khan Afridi, who went missing from Sara Khawar.
An FIR has been registered by Faqirabad police in the case of Muhammad Wali, a resident of Khan Masht Colony, who was picked up on February 24, 2014. Similarly, Gulbahar police lodged an FIR over the disappearance of Naveed Anjum, an army officer who hailed from Pabbi and went missing from Peshawar Bus Terminal on November 13, 2011.
In addition, Hayatabad police has filed a case against the kidnapping of Gul Khan Afridi who was picked up from Tatara Chowk on January 25, 2010. Another report was filed by the Kotwali police in the case of Muhammad Zubair. He was a resident of Sargodha and went missing from Karimpura on January 10, 2009.
Badhaber police lodged an FIR in the case of Mujeebur Rehman, a resident of Karak, who went missing from Scheme Chowk. Moreover, a report was filed by the Banamarhi police over the disappearance of Siraj Shinwari from Bahadar Kalay on November 12, 2013.
An FIR was also registered in the case of Najeebullah, a resident of Darra Adam Khel who went missing from his apartment on Kohat Road in December 2010. A police report was also lodged against the disappearance of Bakht Muhammad of Ijaz Ghari.
Gul Ajab was arrested from a refugee camp in Khazana and Mujahideen Khan from Darul Quran Madrasah in Namak Mandi. FIRs were filed over the disappearance of both these individuals.
