Sit-in for Karak district’s rights continues
Social and political activists from across the district are participating in the latest sit-in.

Khattak Ittehad continued its protest for the eighth consecutive day on Tuesday against prolonged power outages and gas supply problems in Karak as well as delays in the construction of Khushal Khan Khattak University.
Joined by other social and political organisations, Khattak Ittehad started the sit-in over a week ago in front of the district headquarters office at Sherdad Chowk. They were led by Karak Youth Organisation President Shabbir Khattak. Meanwhile, Khattak Ittehad President Mir Zaqeem remains in jail after he was arrested earlier for staging a similar demonstration. Some other Khattak leaders were also arrested by the police when they pressed for their demands.
Social and political activists from across the district are participating in the latest sit-in. The JUI-F leadership including the party’s K-P chief Maulana Gul Naseeb, senior leader Maulana Attaur Rehman and Mian Nisar Gul were present on the occasion.
