University teachers honoured
Awards were given to ten teachers of the university to acknowledge their contribution in the field of education

Most youngsters enter college with an aim to become a doctor or an engineer. I was determined from day one to become a teacher, COMSATS University lecturer Shazia Hafeez said on Monday.
She was speaking at an event held in connection with the Aao Parhao education advocacy campaign at the Raiwind campus of the university.
She said her decision was later supported by her family as well.
Later, awards were given to ten teachers of the university to acknowledge their contribution in the field of education. The event was attended by students and faculty of the varsity.
Aao Parhao assistant manager Mohsin Leghari said the purpose of the campaign was to highlight the importance of teachers in building a society.
He said he hoped the campaign would help motivate more and more youngsters to join the profession of teaching.
Campaign partner Ilm Ideas’ Marketing and Evaluation Officer Najeebullah Baig and COMSATS Director Dr M.A. Farooqi also spoke at the occasion.
