Disabled cricket series: Pakistan beat Afghanistan in first T20

Pakistan drew first blood in the International Disabled Cricket Series against Afghanistan as they won the opening T20 match by 37 runs at the National Stadium in Karachi on Sunday.
Batting first, Pakistan posted 179-6 in their 20 overs. Hasnain Alam top-scored with 55 off 41 balls, hitting two sixes and seven boundaries, while Danish Ahmed scored a 29-ball 38 and Jahanzaib Tiwana played a 37-run cameo with the help of three sixes and as many fours.
Afghanistan skipper Nabiullah was the pick of the bowlers, claiming two wickets for 34 runs while Muhammad Ashraf, Ikramullah and Sheirin Akkakhail picked up a wicket each.
In their innings, Afghanistan were restricted to 153-6. Muhammad Jahanzeb top-scored with 36, slamming a six and four boundaries, while Nabiullah made a run-a-ball 25.
Ubaidullah (20) and Muhammad Yousuf (19) also chipped in with runs in their side’s losing cause. Left-arm spinner Ameer Ahmed grabbed two wickets while Fayyaz Ahmed and Abdullah Khan took a wicket each.
The second T20 will be played on Monday.
