Terror bid foiled FC nabs men planning Sibi attack
FC arrested eight suspects belonging to the banned Balochistan Republican Army.

Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan have foiled an attempt of carrying out a terror attack during Sibi Mela, a historical festival that takes place every February. FC arrested eight suspects belonging to the banned Balochistan Republican Army (BRA) who were planning an attack on the upcoming festival. Sibbi Mela was, as per custom, attended by governor and chief minister of the province along with military and political leadership and top brass of the security forces. According to an FC press release, security forces have arrested a BRA commander along with seven suspects. “They had planned a major terror attack on Sibi Mela,” the FC spokesman said according to the press release. Inspector General FC Balochistan Maj Gen Sher Afgun had appreciated the timely action taken by FC officials to save innocent lives in Sibi.
