Inam at the Sindh squad’s forefront
Team to take part in National Shooting Championship from today.

Triple Olympian Khurram Inam will lead Sindh’s 15-member squad in the 22nd National Shooting Championship set to be staged in Jhelum under the auspices of Pakistan Army from February 20 to 28, announced the Sindh Rifle Association.
Inam, who represented Pakistan in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, 2004 Athens Olympics and 2012 London Olympics, has long dominated the skeet events in Pakistan, and will now spearhead Sindh, who will feature in the shotgun and rifle events.
In the last edition hosted by Karachi, Sindh finished with two gold, one silver and two bronze medals. The shotgun squad includes Shakeel Babar, Naveed Shah, Usman Sadiq, Aamir Afsar, Shakeel Ilyas, Inam, Ahmed Sultan, Shahzad Abdullah (trap) and Zulfiqar Hakeem (skeet).
Meanwhile, Abdullah Iraqi, Shujaat Sherwani, Alizah Babar, Bilal Yaqoob, Muhammad Yaqoob, Abeera Yaqoob make up Sindh’s rifle squad.
The championship, where Pakistan Navy are the defending champions, will witness around 250 athletes participating in more than 20 events from all units of the National Rifle Association Pakistan, which includes all three armed forces, four provinces and Islamabad.
