AWKUM to host conference on media

The department of journalism and mass communication at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) will host a two-day conference titled ‘National Debate on the Role of Media’. Renowned media practitioners, civil society activists and academicians will deconstruct the prevalent norms of the media industry, its responsibilities and ethical standards. The event, comprising seven sessions, will begin on February 21. “We are proud to host eminent professionals for the event,” said AWKUM Vice Chancellor Dr Ihsan Ali. “The conference will provide a learning opportunity for students,” said the debate’s chief organiser Shiraz Paracha.
