Overdue 94 senior clerks promoted
The clerks were promoted after the government repealed a rule on the demand of the All Pakistan Clerks Association.

The government on Thursday promoted 94 senior clerks to the posts of assistants (BS-14) on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee.
According to a notification issued by the Services and General Administration department, the clerks were promoted after the government repealed a rule on the demand of the All Pakistan Clerks Association. Earlier, the clerical staff needed a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the Anti-Corruption Department for their promotions. The APCA members had held several protest demonstrations against the rule.
