KARACHI:

The students and teachers of Mama Parsi school know how to react in case of a terrorist attack as they have learned how to use a gun and been trained on basic self-defence.

Following the tragic attack on Army Public School in Peshawar, the Mama Parsi administration teamed with the police’s Special Security Unit and organised a training programme at the Shaheed Benazir Elite Police Training Centre, Razzakabad, on Wednesday.

A total 42 teachers and 18 students were given the ‘Hostile Environment Awareness Training’, which taught them how to open fire and how to locate to a safer place in case of any terrorist attack, bomb blast or a firing incident. They were also taught how to free themselves when their hands and feet were tied in case of kidnapping, jumping from a moving car and providing first aid to injured people. The students also received training certificates.
