Free speech: Sedition suspect denied bail

LAHORE:
Lahore High Court on Wednesday dismissed the bail petition of a man arrested on charges of distributing literature against Pakistan Army. His counsel told the court that police had wrongly implicated him in the case. He said his client had not distributed any material against the armed forces and urged the court to release him on bail. However, a deputy prosecutor told the court that police had caught Muhammad Saeed from Naulakha while distributing offensive literature. The court dismissed the petition after hearing the arguments.
