Metro bus site: Tunnel hits groundwater

The government has set the March 23 as the deadline for the project

ISLAMABAD:
A tunnel of the metro bus project from D-Chowk to Secretariat has hit groundwater at 30 feet which might further delay the project, said officials associated with the project on Tuesday. The government has set the March 23 as the deadline for the project but engineers said the water might take two months to drain naturally. The contractors have demanded Rs10.1 million from the Rawalpindi Development Authority to drain the water mechanically if it wants to complete the project on time.
