Winter sports: Snow festival to begin next month
Will be held at Malam Jabba from March 1 to March 10.

With the aim to promote winter tourism in Swat, a snow festival organised by the district administration and Pakistan Army will begin in the district from March 1.
According to a press release issued by ISPR, the festival will be held at the popular ski resort of Malam Jabba from March 1 to March 10. “Arrangements have been made to facilitate and entertain tourists on the white snow sheet at the scenic Malam Jabba resort,” it read.
The festival will include winter sports such as paragliding, hang gliding, tobogganing and aeromodelling, while musical programmes have also been arranged.
Moreover, special sporting activities and events have been scheduled for women and children, the press release added.
“The continuous holding of the snow festival and advent of a large number of tourists to Malam Jabba is proof of perfect peace in the valley,” the press release stated, adding the event would further promote tourism and streamline economic activities in the area.
