LAHORE: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif's mother passed away on Saturday morning.
According to DG ISPR Major General Asim Bajwa, she passed away at the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology.

Her funeral prayers will be held in Chaklala following the afternoon prayers. She will be buried in the Cavalry Ground cemetery in Lahore after Asr prayers.
She had five children including three sons and two daughters. Her eldest son, Major Shabbir Sharif, was a recipient of the Nishan-e-Haider and Sitara-e-Jurat. Gen Raheel Sharif, her youngest child, is currently serving as the army chief.
