Combined Income Group: SPI falls week-on-week
The SPI for the combined income group decreased 0.57% in the week under review

The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended February 12 registered a decrease of 0.55% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the group stood at 199.94 points against 201.05 in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for the combined income group decreased 0.57% from 208.22 points in the previous week to 207.03 in the week under review. Compared to the corresponding week of last year, the SPI for the combined income group fell 0.27%. During the week, average prices of 16 items in a selected basket of goods fell, prices of nine items rose and rates of remaining 28 recorded no change.
