Élan’s collection to launch in March; features Ottoman and Moroccan-inspired designs

Designer label Élan, announced the launch of their Spring/Summer 2015 Lawn collection for March, stated a press release.

Previously, Élan Lawn had collaborated for the first time with Kamal Textile Mills in 2012 and then with Hussain Group twice. For their fourth season running the designer label has pronounced its partnership with the Sapphire Group.

Élan Lawns designer Khadijah Shah for this season’s lawn has chosen extensive detailing and intricate patterns which are not typically found in conventional lawn prints.

The collection features an interaction of patterns, colours and textures to give the designs depth and versatility. Élan lawn’s theme for this season dras inspiration from various continents. Varying cultural traditions and print and pattern developments through time. From signature Sub continental and Moroccan influences to Oriental and Ottoman inspired patterns, to a more European ethos based on the Sicilian design heritage.

For Valentine’s Day 2015 Élan has launched two capsule collections in celebration this year; J’Adore for Luxury Pret and ‘Amour’ for Élan Vital.


‘J’Adore’ has been inspired by baroque and is curtails ornate embellished details, based on rich colours such as red, black and gold. ‘Amour’ is all about the use of floral prints. The shirts have been made in cotton satin introducing longer hemlines, prints, embroideries and decorative buttons.

Élan under Shah was established in 2006. In addition to its formal and bridal couture, the brand produces a prêt-a-porter line as well. Recently added to their portfolio is Élan Vital, a collection of quirky day-wear which caters to busy working women.

In 2014, the brand showcased its ‘Art Struck Élan’ line which included doodles, graffiti and edgy imagery including cats and a dollop of holey cheese, among others, getting translated into digitally-printed lightweight cotton-lawn tunics.
