Postponed: Imran Khan puts off Karachi visit
He will now visit Shikarpur to offer his condolences to the families of those who died in the imambargah attack.
KARACHI:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan on Wednesday postponed his planned visit to Karachi. According to a party spokesperson, he will now visit Shikarpur via Sukkur to offer his condolences to the families of those who died in the imambargah attack on January 30, before returning to Islamabad. The decision follows an apology to senior PTI leader from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain. PTI and MQM leaders had recently issued derogatory statements against each other, prompting Khan to announce a visit to Karachi in order to hold a meeting with party members and respond to the MQM.
