ISLAMABAD:
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) plans to expand the Islamabad Expressway from Zero Point to Rawat into a 10 lane signal-free corridor to ease traffic woes of the twin cities’ commuters. The planning wing of the authority has issued the layout plan and cross-section of the project and tenders would be invited for construction work after the feasibility report of the consultant is received, said a CDA official on Wednesday. Under the plan, five under passes and one flyover would be constructed on the expressway, said the official.
