Vehicle collission: One dead, six injured

The Sihala police said an oil tanker collided head-on

ISLAMABAD:
At least one person was killed and six others injured on Sunday when an oil tanker collided with another oil tanker on the Islamabad Expressway before it rammed into two passenger vans in Sihala area. The Sihala police said an oil tanker collided head-on with another after its breaks failed near Kak Pul before it hit two passenger vans waiting on the road to board passengers. As a result, Muhammad Fareed, a resident of Mansehra, died on the spot while five others, identified as Ibrahim, Mudassar Khan, Muhammad Saeed, Sher Zaman and Mubashir Zaman, were injured. The injured were shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment. Doctors at the hospital said Ibrahim, the driver of one of the oil tanker, was in critical condition. The driver of the second tanker escaped the scene, the police said.
