Kot radha kishan: Children of slain couple get cheques

Rs500,000 compensation was paid on Sunday to the children of a Christian man and his wife, who were murdered by a mob on November 4, 2014. DCO Adnan Arshad and DPO Babar Saeed handed a cheque to the children at the DCO’s office on Sunday. Talking to reporters, Arshad said the government had earlier deposited Rs5 million in separate National Savings Accounts for the four children. “At the beginning of each month, the children will be given the interest from those saving accounts to meet their expenses. The Kasur district government will look after the financial affairs of the children as directed by the court until they came of age,” he said.
