Awan announces restoration of IHC
ISLAMABAD:
Federal Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr Babar Awan announced that the notification to restore Islamabad High Court has been issued.
Addressing a gathering in Islamabad, Awan said the President and Prime Minister also approved the setting of two accountability courts in the capital.
He added that the judges appointed at the Islamabad High court will be drawn from various parts of the country to make it truly representative. On the controversy surrounding the 18th amendment, he said the Supreme Court cannot strike down the decisions of Parliament.
